A 8274 KWP

The A8274 KWP Force Displacement Test System from ITF-Engineering is a unique test system designed specifically for measuring the Force / Displacement characteristics of buttons, keys and switches. The test system provides classified results with accurate and fast testing of both Force and Displacement values. The force ranges are from 1 to 10 and from 10 to 100
Newton. A 500 Newton version is also available on request. Displacement ranges are from 0 to 20mm and up to 50mm on request.
Possible modes of operation are fully automatic, travel speed adjustment, measurement of force on a make or break contact, measurement of displacement on a make or break contact, measurement of maximum and minimum values for both the ‘up’ and ‘down’ curves and measurement to a specified force or displacement osition. Typical applications are magnetic or relay coils, membrane keyboards, piezo keyboards, relays, switches, connectors, plugs, sockets, springs, etc.
The A8274 KWP can be connected with an XY Plotter or PC to provide a hard copy of the measured results. The test system includes an adjustable stand with the Force Displacement test head mounted on a precision slider for accurate height adjustment of the sensor along with the microprocessor controlled electronic test unit mounted in a 19" rack.
The A8274 KWP system can be used as a stand alone unit or expanded at any time to include the PC control interface and evaluation software KWPGRAPH. With this GPIB computer interface, the test instrument can also be integrated with an XY coordinate table to fully automate the testing of keyboards with several test positions. These positions can be easily ‘learnt in’ with the use of a control box supplied with the XY Coordinate System.
For DOS and WIN95/98
Typical applications for the A8274 KWP Force Displacement test system are quality control, product supervision, laboratory design work and incoming and outgoing goods inspection.
